A typical golf course set among lakes, sand dunes and undulating woodland
The 18-hole Golf course Hardelot Dunes is laid out over undulating terrain. Set among ornamental lakes, sand dunes and forest, it is both strategic and charming with spectacular views. Designed by Paul Rollin and Jean-Claude Cornillot, Les Dunes has recently had a facelift, making it suitably challenging for a destination of this calibre.
The golf course in details

- PAR 4
- HCP 6
- White 304
- Yellow 283
- Blue 240
- Red 226
Pro Advice
Focus on the right-hand mound with your tee shot to open up this large green with its double plateau.
Hole n°2
- PAR 3
- HCP 17
- White 168
- Yellow 146
- Blue 123
- Red 108
Pro Advice
If you play to the left side you’ll usually get a good kick, but make sure you get off the mound.
Hole n°3
- PAR 5
- HCP 8
- White 471
- Yellow 416
- Blue 386
- Red 361
Pro Advice
Big hitters will get over the fairway bunker, but everyone else should play to the left side. On your second stroke, stay away from the bunkers at all costs.
Hole n°4
- PAR 4
- HCP 1
- White 404
- Yellow 373
- Blue 341
- Red 321
Pro Advice
There’s usually a head wind at this long par 4, which is one of the challenges of this course. Start off with a drive to the centre left. When you attack the green, watch out if the flag is at the back.
Hole n°5
- PAR 3
- HCP 15
- White 130
- Yellow 123
- Blue 112
- Red 100
Pro Advice
Hit a long shot down the centre of the green even if the flag is at the front if you don’t want to end up in the “chamber pot” bunker. At the 6th hole, don’t be tempted to take your eye off the fairway bunker or you’ll end up with the ball at your knees on the second stroke.
Hole n°6
- PAR 4
- HCP 10
- White 327
- Yellow 296
- Blue 287
- Red 248
Pro Advice
Don’t be tempted to take your eye off the fairway bunker or you’ll end up with the ball at your knees on the second stroke.
Hole n°7
- PAR 3
- HCP 18
- White 125
- Yellow 113
- Blue 101
- Red 90
Pro Advice
Watch out for the headwind, as you can’t feel it.
Hole n°8
- PAR 5
- HCP 4
- White 460
- Yellow 438
- Blue 412
- Red 404
Pro Advice
After a straight drive you can either attack the green or get yourself into the best position for attacking it.
Hole n°9
- PAR 5
- HCP 12
- White 433
- Yellow 405
- Blue 359
- Red 331
Pro Advice
Big hitters can get past the bunker and play an iron to take the green in two, while most people will keep to the left to open up the game. Watch out for the shallowness of the green.
Hole n°10
- PAR 4
- HCP 11
- White 325
- Yellow 286
- Blue 252
- Red 233
Pro Advice
Longer hitters can tee off with an iron and then choose the best club for the plateaued green.
Hole n°11
- PAR 3
- HCP 14
- White 146
- Yellow 134
- Blue 111
- Red 99
Pro Advice
Don’t let the water bother you – the distance you need to hit is nothing to worry about!
Hole n°12
- PAR 4
- HCP 3
- White 368
- Yellow 347
- Blue 307
- Red 289
Pro Advice
Keep things on track at the fairway bunker, unless you’re confident about tackling the bottleneck. Keep left when attacking the green.
Hole n°13
- PAR 5
- HCP 5
- White 428
- Yellow 398
- Blue 371
- Red 333
Pro Advice
If you get your second stroke just past the little tarmac road 100 m from the entrance to the green, that’s far enough. Attacking players can aim for the large pine trees behind the green, bearing in mind that the green is long… very long.
Hole n°14
- PAR 3
- HCP 13
- White 183
- Yellow 162
- Blue 134
- Red 124
Pro Advice
Enter the green on the right side and the ball will roll to the flag.
Hole n°15
- PAR 4
- HCP 9
- White 283
- Yellow 269
- Blue 212
- Red 196
Pro Advice
A 180 m tee shot and an attack from the left side will allow you to putt a birdie on this short par 4.
Hole n°16
- PAR 4
- HCP 7
- White 304
- Yellow 269
- Blue 256
- Red 234
Pro Advice
Stay short of the right-hand mound and then attack the green from the left side. Don’t be greedy if the flag is short. The green has quite a slope.
Hole n°17
- PAR 3
- HCP 16
- White 126
- PAR 114
- Blue 101
- Red 90
Pro Advice
Watch out for the headwind and play to the right half of the green, which is deeper.
Hole n°18
- PAR 4
- HCP 2
- White 349
- Yellow 329
- Blue 315
- Red 286
Pro Advice
Les Dunes signature hole. You need to avoid a downhill second shot. When you attack the green, be aware of the distance to the large pine trees. If you end up in the water, take your drop from your preferred distance.
